CNPRM 2025

CNPRM 2025 will be the 12th Annual Meeting of our national group and will be held at the Centre Sheraton in Montreal, Quebec, May 12th-14th, 2025.  The landscape of health research is changing. CNPRM and DOHaD Canada are joining forces with 2 other networks, ENRICH and CAMCCO, creating a consortium of symposia and bringing together perinatal and child health research networks across Canada in one common place. Our goal is to generate scientific, professional, and organizational leaders within and beyond the Health Research Enterprise.

CNPRM’s primary objectives are to foster collaborative research in Canada and help train research leaders for tomorrow. Practitioners, research investigators and trainees come together at our annual meetings to learn about the latest scientific discoveries and product development in maternal, fetal and newborn health research for application to maternal and newborn primary care and policy. The 2025 program promises to be a unique mix of interdisciplinary collaboration as well as an opportunity for discipline-specific sub-groups to share the latest developments in their own fields with strong student engagement and our industry partners. We will put forward important topics such as Indigenous health, Global health and Perinatal ethics. The Meeting boasts outstanding international and national guest speakers and provides important time for oral and poster presentation of original work from attending participants and industry partner interaction time. Workshops, associated society satellite and small focus group meetings fulfil the secondary objectives of the meeting; to promote Canadian perinatal research and develop new and emerging linkages between different related themes and groups, further growing and strengthening the CNPRM community.

Our meeting takes pride in supporting trainees’ and the organizers work diligently to gain financial support in order to subsidizes trainee attendance at the Meeting.  The support of industry, as well as academic Departments and Research Centers is therefore critical for CNPRM to support these junior scientists. Very few countries hold such prestigious national meetings around excellence in perinatal research!

Meeting Objectives:

  • Prepare students for academic, non-profit and private sector careers

  • Network with mentors, peers, patients, families, and private sector companies

  • Promote health, well-being and equity

  • Provide training in critical areas, that are lacking in traditional programs

Join this multi-disciplinary community in person for programming and networking that will include renowned keynote speakers, oral and poster sessions, workshops and ECR lectures. This is a great opportunity to submit abstracts, gain valuable experience and network with fellow perinatal researchers.
